Welcome to Very Special Children!

I’m Agi Palinkas, the founder of Very Special Children, and a proud mother of two.

I am a Special Educational Teacher and Movement Specialist.

I am committed to transforming the lives of young children with developmental and gross-motor delays by providing a range of comprehensive physical services to improve movement, foster independence and educate families. I work closely with parents and caregivers, but also organisations, raising awareness of learning possibilities and embracing inclusion in the wider community.

I look forward to meeting you!

If you’re looking for a different therapy solution, Very Special Children could be your answer.

I believe that effective, dynamic and efficient therapeutic modalities in early intervention can enhance motor delayed children’s mobility, and prevent them from further motor and learning delays. Supporting children’s natural, organic learning process on time in liaison with their families gives them the best possible start in life.

What’s my goal?

To help young babies and children to move better so they can follow their own curiosity, learn actively, and become as independent as possible.

We are all born to move to move on.

What sets me apart?

Whilst more traditional physiotherapies focus on postural management and working towards motor milestones, I focus on all body-brain systems that feed the development of motor functions. The sensory, nervous, respiratory, digestive, and immune systems, along with cognition, are in constant liaison with the locomotor system and they all play vital role in motor development and in lifelong well-being.

What do I do?

My comprehensive and integrative approach applies progressive, unconventional sensory-neuro-motor therapy modalities to improve motor skills and nurture the child’s unique being. The root problem of motor delays is limited movement experience; the more experience in movement that children have, the better they are able move. Conversely, the higher their physical limitation, the more difficulties they are going to have in the future.
